Events planned to raise dementia awareness
Housing 21 staff at a Dementia and Memory Resource Centre in Westminster are planning a programme of events in support of Dementia Awareness Week. Local people are invited to pop along to the sessions, which are designed to help people gain a greater understanding about dementia and memory problems as well as meet others caring for people with dementia.
The programme includes:
Tuesday 21 May from 2.30pm to 5.00pm - ‘Lets talk about memory’ at:
Dementia & Memory Resource Centre, 42 Westbourne Park Road, London W2 5HP
Wednesday 22 May from 6pm onwards – ‘Understanding memory’, an informative talk at Paddington Library, 45 Porchester Road, Lonhdon W2 5DU
Thursday 23 May from 5pm to 7pm – Family and Supporters Peer Support Session’ at Dementia & Memory Resource Centre, 42 Westbourne Park Road, London W2 5HP
Dementia Awareness Week is the Alzheimer’s Society annual flagship awareness raising campaign. The theme for this year’s campaign is ‘talking’.
